Who We Are
Our Mission
The mission of the Iowa Corridor Breastfeeding Coalition is provide and promote breastfeeding support, education and awareness to its local communities through collaboration of healthcare providers, institutions, community resource agencies and other interested individuals. We strive to empower all families to achieve their individual feeding goals, and promote breastmilk as the optimal infant nutrition which benefits the health of both infant and parent.

The Iowa Corridor Breastfeeding Coalition is a group of healthcare and lactation professionals, as well as community members who are passionate about supporting and promoting breastfeeding in the Iowa Corridor area. We work together to create a breastfeeding-friendly environment in the Iowa Corridor area, and to provide resources and support to families who choose to breastfeed their babies.

Our Philosophy
We believe that breast milk is the best nutrition for infants, and that all families should have access to the support and resources they need to meet their lactation goals. We also believe that breastfeeding is an important public health issue, and that promoting and supporting breastfeeding can have a positive impact on the health of the community as a whole.
At the Iowa Corridor Breastfeeding Coalition, we are committed to providing evidence-based information and support to families and healthcare providers. We believe in a collaborative approach to breastfeeding support, and work closely with other organizations and healthcare providers in the Iowa Corridor area to ensure that families have access to the support they need. We also believe in the importance of maternal health, and have a Maternal Health Coalition focused on learning about and improving maternal health in the area.
